Export Preflight

Pre-release information. Export Preflight is not currently offered for sale. This website does not take payments.

Privacy policy

Export Preflight checks asset metadata inside the plugin runtime. It does not run an independent server or automatically send your design information to the developer.

Last updated: November 4, 2026. This policy covers Export Preflight and the support contact below. The operator is the independent developer using the @exportpreflight Community profile. Privacy questions: exportpreflightsupport@gmail.com.

Design information processed locally

When you scan a selection or the current page, the plugin reads node identifiers, names, hierarchy, page names, dimensions, and export settings, including formats, suffixes and size constraints. It derives issue messages, estimated filenames, estimated raster sizes and counts. Paths may include ancestor layer names. The plugin passes the report metadata between its main code and its own panel within the Figma plugin environment.

The plugin does not extract image pixels, export your artwork, or inspect text characters as part of its checks. Layer names can themselves contain personal or confidential information. Clicking an issue changes the selection and viewport; the plugin does not rename layers or change design content or export settings.

External transmission and independent services

The current plugin code has no custom network requests, analytics, advertising trackers, crash reporting, external fonts, AI service or developer-operated license server. Its manifest declares no network domain access. It does not automatically upload scan reports, layer metadata or design files to the developer.

This describes the plugin code, not the Figma application or your device. Figma may process and synchronize your design files and account information under its own policies. We have not verified every network request, diagnostic log, cache or backup made by Figma, your operating system or other software.

Memory, downloads and storage

Scan results are held in runtime memory while the plugin is running and replaced by subsequent scans. The plugin does not save reports in Figma clientStorage, node pluginData or a developer database. Closing the plugin ends its runtime; this is not a promise of secure erasure from device memory, Figma diagnostics or operating-system storage.

If you choose to download a CSV report, the panel creates a local download containing issue and layer metadata, including node identifiers, names, page names, paths, formats and estimated filenames. You choose where to save it. The saved file remains until you delete it, and may be included in your own device backups or synchronization. Share it only with intended recipients. The plugin does not retrieve or delete saved CSV files.

Payments

Export Preflight is not currently offered for sale. The following describes the release candidate and its planned Pro access flow.

Figma's official Payments API supplies a status such as paid, unpaid or unavailable, and opens Figma's checkout when requested. The plugin uses that status to control access to Pro features. It does not request or store card numbers, bank details or payment credentials, and it does not receive those details through its code. Figma and its payment providers process checkout, purchase records and refunds under their own terms and privacy policies. Any seller-side transaction information available through Figma is separate from local scan data; we do not claim that Figma provides no purchaser information.

Information you send for support

If you email support, your address, message, email headers and any attachments are received in our dedicated Gmail mailbox. We use them to respond, investigate the issue, handle privacy requests and protect the product. Email delivery and storage are handled by Google and the providers involved in sending your message. Do not send passwords, authentication or recovery codes, card details, confidential working files, or a complete CSV report. Start with a short description and redacted examples.

Support information is not automatically forwarded by the plugin or used by us for advertising. The developer uses it to handle your request. If assistance from Figma or another provider is necessary, we minimize the information and seek your permission before forwarding identifiable attachments, unless disclosure is legally required or necessary to address a security incident. We may disclose information when required by law.

We retain support correspondence as needed to resolve and follow up on requests, meet legal obligations, address security issues and resolve disputes, then delete or de-identify information no longer needed. There is no verified fixed deletion period for providers' backups. You can request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us by emailing support; we will review the request and explain any information we must retain. We may need proportionate verification without requesting passwords or identity documents unnecessarily. Requests concerning design files, payment records or provider accounts may need to be directed to the relevant provider.
